Wei Ng is an experienced professional well-versed in the needs of luxury brands and better stores. He brings a data-driven approach to building brands and viable businesses around the visions and crafts of founders and designers. With a focus on the fundamentals – marketing, merchandising, P&L, operations and retail management – Wei has the know-how to plan and execute critical strategies that take businesses to the next level.

Wei partners with a range of collaborators ranging from startups capitalized beyond seed-stage to small and medium companies with existing revenue streams. He is a particular champion of new and different ways of connecting brands with their customers, and is a firm believer in the magic of retail.

Previously, Wei was the senior merchandising manager at Hudson’s Bay Company and was pivotal in turning around a $65 million private brands division through the revitalization of merchandising assortment and a re-engineering of inventory management.

Ever curious, Wei possesses a strong work ethic, is unafraid of fierce conversations and has the ability to see the larger picture. He combines his business and analytic skills with design development experience and an understanding of the creative process. He is facile in both Asian and Western cultures and is comfortable in English, Mandarin and French.

Wei was educated at Parsons the New School for Design and has been fortunate to meet and benefit from the many mentors and collaborators he has met. Wei is a firm believer in contributing to his community and previously served at Save the Garment Center as its social media lead. He also previously served on the Organizing Committee for Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Singapore Youth Olympics in 2010. He currently sits on the board of NPI – a non-profit that works in partnership with its clients to support their organizational success.
